The first Ollie's restaurant opened in 1989 with the goal of bringing cuisine from Chinatown up to the Upper West Side. It wasn't long before the concept was proven; soon hundreds of hungry Columbia students would fill the restaurant everyday in between classes. Ever since then, Ollie's has left its mark throughout Manhattan, having served areas such as Times Square, Lincoln Center, and Hell's Kitchen. The group has expanded to other Chinese cuisines with restaurants such as Red Bowl, a Cantonese-style noodle shop, and Udu Shabu Shabu, a Hot pot concept. 26 years later, the mission is still the same: to serve authentic, quality food at an affordable price.
